YOUR HOME DOESN’T HAVE TO WORK THE WAY IT DID 20 YEARS AGO

Maybe the layout no longer works for your family. Maybe several rooms feel outdated, previous repairs were never properly finished, or you’ve reached the point where multiple areas need attention at the same time.

We start with what you have now and what you want to change, then define the work needed to bring those pieces together as one renovation.

ONE RENOVATION. MANY MOVING PARTS. ONE COORDINATED PROCESS

WHY X-GROUP

Interior remodeling can involve different trades, materials, schedules, and decisions. We bring those pieces together under a defined project scope so you’re not left trying to coordinate every part yourself.

ONE TEAM TO COORDINATE THE PROJECT

When different trades are required, we coordinate their work around the agreed renovation scope.

BUILT AROUND YOUR EXISTING HOME

We plan around the space and conditions you actually have rather than treating every renovation like the same project.

YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT AFFECTS THE BUDGET

Construction scope, existing conditions, materials, fixtures, and finish selections can all affect cost. We explain those factors as the project is defined.

CHANGES ARE DISCUSSED BEFORE MOVING FORWARD

If an unexpected condition or requested change affects the agreed scope, we discuss what it means for the project before additional work moves forward.

QUESTIONS HOMEOWNERS ASK BEFORE REMODELING

INTERIOR REMODELING FAQ

DO I NEED TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I WANT BEFORE CONTACTING YOU?

No. Start with what you want to change, what isn’t working now, and your priorities for the finished space. We can use that information to begin defining the project before every detail or material has been selected.

CAN YOU HANDLE SEVERAL ROOMS OR DIFFERENT TYPES OF WORK AS ONE PROJECT?

Yes. Interior renovations often involve several spaces and types of work. When they are part of the agreed scope, we can coordinate them as one renovation rather than requiring you to manage each piece separately.

DO I NEED TO HIRE MY OWN ELECTRICIAN OR PLUMBER?

Not necessarily. When electrical, plumbing, or other specialized work is required within the renovation, we can coordinate the appropriate trades as part of the project scope.

WHAT IF DRAWINGS, ENGINEERING, OR PERMITS ARE NEEDED?

Requirements depend on the work being performed. If the project requires plans, engineering, permits, or another specialized professional, we identify that during project planning and explain how it relates to the scope.

DO I NEED TO CHOOSE ALL OF MY MATERIALS BEFORE THE PROJECT STARTS?

Not necessarily at the first conversation, but some selections need to be made before the related work begins. We identify the decisions that affect the scope, schedule, or budget so you know what needs to be selected and when.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU FIND A PROBLEM AFTER WORK BEGINS?

Existing homes can sometimes reveal conditions that weren’t visible beforehand. If something unexpected affects the agreed scope, we explain what was found, why it matters, and any additional work that may be needed before moving forward with that change.

WHAT AFFECTS THE COST OF AN INTERIOR REMODEL?

Cost depends on the amount and complexity of construction work, existing conditions, specialized trades, layout changes, and the materials, fixtures, and finishes you select. Two similarly sized renovations can have very different budgets depending on those choices.

CAN WE LIVE IN THE HOUSE DURING THE REMODEL?

Often, yes, but it depends on which areas of the home are affected and the scope of work. For larger renovations, we discuss access, work areas, and how the project may affect normal use of the home before work begins.
